The health and safety of our customers, donors, volunteers and employees is a top priority for Eagles Nest and we are following all provincial and regional COVID-19 health directives. Safeguards we have put in place include:
- Screening staff and volunteers for symptoms of COVID-19 immediately upon entry
- Requiring staff and volunteers who are sick to stay at home
- Supplying staff and volunteers with PPE
- Supplying hand sanitizer for staff, volunteers and customers
- Store layout adjusted to accommodate social distancing
- Enhanced cleaning procedures and frequent cleaning of highly touched surfaces
- Plexiglass barriers installed at the cash
- Actively screening customers before entry
- Requiring staff, volunteers and customers to wear a mask while in the store
- Limiting the number of customers in the store
- Fitting rooms and washrooms closed to the public
- Providing contactless donation drop off and contactless curbside pickup
- Encouraging debit or credit card payment. Tap technology is available.
- Asking customers to pack their own purchases. Customers can bring their own bags, or a new bag will be provided.
Eagles Nest also encourages customers to take the following measures and to shop more safely:
- Stay at home if you are ill or have symptoms of COVID-19, have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 or have recently travelled
- Leave drink and food outside
- Shop individually
- Use hand sanitizer when entering and exiting the store
- Limit handling products
- Respect social distancing
- Follow directional arrows and signs
- Wash purchases when you return home
- Be patient and courteous to others
